Daesha Erickson, DDS

 

Dr. Daesha Erickson grew up in a small town north of Seattle called Snohomish, Washington. In this rural, tight knit community, she thrived in sports and academics. After graduating Snohomish High School as a star athlete and class valedictorian, she began her undergraduate studies at Seattle Pacific University where she played NCAA Division II basketball for the SPU Falcons. She graduated from SPU in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in biology.

Upon graduation, Dr. Daesha took two years to travel and play professional basketball internationally. In 2012, she began her doctoral program at the respected University of Washington School of Dentistry where she was fortunate to meet her future husband, Dr. Justin Erickson. Dr. Daesha and Dr. Erickson graduated from the University of Washington DDS program in 2016. Upon graduating, they moved to Alaska to start their dental careers in private practice with Affordable Dental Care.

Dr. Daesha is happy to share her passion for dentistry and care for patients with the greater Fairbanks community. She continues to refine and improve her skills in multiple aspects of dentistry including cosmetics, pediatrics, root canal therapy, implant therapy and oral surgery. She and her husband, Dr. Erickson, are consistently furthering their education, taking continuing education courses across the country to stay up to date with the newest technology and techniques to better serve their patients.

Dr. Daesha and Dr. Erickson live just outside of North Pole, AK where they thoroughly enjoy all the adventures this beautiful state has to offer. From hiking and camping to fishing and hunting, the doctors are constantly making the most of this amazing state in which they live. They also enjoy spending time with family, friends and their sweet chocolate lab, Denali. Last, but not least, they are expecting their first child this summer and couldn’t be more excited to raise him in such a stunning place.
